Here’s the thing: EPCOT only has 11 rides. Wait. Hear us out. What EPCOT lacks in number, it makes up for in variety — it has one of Disney World’s wildest coasters, the best hang-glider simulator at any park, a trackless dark ride that will charm all ages, and a few nostalgic boat rides hidden away in the World Showcase. Below is an honest ranking including wait time expectations and who each ride is best for.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
The best ride at EPCOT and legitimately one of the best attractions at Walt Disney World. This indoor reverse-launch coaster blends a 70s/80s rock soundtrack with coaster thrills, and it hits on every front. The launch will sneak up and knock you off your seat. The coaster vehicle rotates to ensure you’re always facing forward into the scene. And the music … Disney has masterfully integrated a rock soundtrack with never-before-seen technology. It’s exciting without feeling like a body torture session.
Expect waits of 55-80 minutes regularly, even with Lightning Lane. Motion sickness warning: this ride spins — avoid the kiosk food before boarding.
Soarin Across America
If you’ve been to EPCOT before, you know Soarin. It’s an absolute icon. What you may not know is that this past May 26, 2026, the park debuted a new film flying over America replacing their long-time Soarin Around the World ride. But don’t worry — everything else you love about Soarin is unchanged: you’re hoisted into the air and into a giant IMAX-style curved screen while a hang glider simulator tips you from side-to-side over sweeping aerial footage. As you soar over mountains, canyons, and monuments they pump scents into the air that correspond with your flight path.
Soarin Across America is emotional, gorgeously filmed, and revitalizes this classic ride. It works for every age. Every member of the family will love this ride.
Expect wait times of up to 45-60 minutes. Hit this one early or grab a Lightning Lane.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
One of Disney World’s cutest rides is Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure . This trackless dark ride puts you in the shoes of a rat coursing through Gusteau’s restaurant. The sets are amazing. The movements of the ride vehicle are thrillingly unpredictable.
2025 update: they removed the 3D glasses. Disney got rid of the troublesome 3D effects in November 2025 and replaced them with customized 2D screens. Guests who complained of nausea and motion sickness hailed the decision. If you loved the magic of the ride’s original 3D presentation, the world feels every bit as magical without it — the sets and animatronics are top notch. If you avoided it hoping the motion sickness would go away, there’s no better time than the present.
This is a Tier 1 Lightning Lane selection. Grab it with your first Lightning Lane if you aren’t doing Guardians first. Wait times should be around 35-55 minutes during peak.
Frozen Ever After
EPCOT’s Frozen Ever After ride is exactly what it sounds like — it’s a boat ride through Arendelle set in the Norway pavilion. It’s better than you think. The music is catchy. The sets are fun. Olaf is adorable. As an added bonus, it’s inside so it’s a nice break from the Florida sun. Parents — your kids will love it. You won’t hate it.
Frozen Ever After is consistently one of the most popular attractions at EPCOT. If you hit it first thing, you can beat the crowds. Or hop on towards the end of your trip when lines have diminished.
Test Track 3.0
If you rode Test Track before noon on January 10, 2025 you didn’t ride Test Track 3.0. While they kept the signature 65 mph sprint outdoors at the end of the ride intact, the adventure where you designed your own dream vehicle was axed. In its place is a ride through the history of the vehicle you’re piloting, and some speculation about the future of travel. You’ll still feel like you’re flying — just without the custom car at the end.
Guests are torn. They loved the build-your-own-car portion of Test Track pre-2025. Disney says they listened to guest feedback to improve the ride, but whether Test Track 3.0 is better remains to be seen. Time will tell if this change is here to stay.
Spaceship Earth
Spaceship Earth is the ride inside the iconic giant golf ball. It’s a leisurely journey through human communication. From cave drawings to the Information Age. It moves slowly and it’s air-conditioned. It’s nostalgic. Peaceful. If you have the time, ride it.
PRO TIP: For the best view of the scenes on the way up, sit on the outside of the ride vehicle.
7. Living with the Land
Living with the Land is another great ride. But rather than flying over Californian farmland or zooming through an animated rat’s kitchen, this boat cruises you through agricultural greenhouses where Disney actually grows ingredients used in their park restaurants. Educational. Interesting. Inspiring. Definitely worth checking out if green-energy piques your interest. As an added bonus, Disney offers a behind the scenes greenhouse tour called Behind the Seeds .
Highlights: no height requirement. No thrills. Completely relaxing.
The Seas with Nemo and Friends
The Seas with Nemo and Friends ride takes you through a giant aquarium home to sharks, dolphins, sea turtles, manatees, and starfish and allows you to follow along on Nemo’s journey home. It’s fun if you have a toddler who loves Finding Nemo but honestly the real star here is the aquarium itself. It’s worth spending an afternoon diving deeper into what this massive ecosystem has to offer. Sea Base, an underwater exploration room and Turtle Talk with Crush, an interactive show that feels like it came from the future are both worth your time.
The Ones to Know About
Journey of Imagination with Figment is a dizzying, swooping trip through your imagination with the Figment of Your Imagination. It’s quirky — you’ll either love it or skip it. Gran Fiesta Tour Stands For Friendship is a leisurely boat ride through Mexico. The ride itself isn’t much, but the ambiance makes it relaxing and fun. Queue times will be much lower for these than the big 5.
